Most operators have a solid contingency plan on how to address underperformance caused by mechanical and electrical breakage. Few, however, have a fast, economical, and scalable action plan to ensure their wind turbines are accurately performance monitoring the wind conditions on-site.

First Airborne is a technology company built by experienced wind farm operators and world class engineers that is laser focused on ensuring that wind turbines all over the world never lose out on their energy yield potential due to faulty wind measurements.

Our team is driven by the notion that without access to accurate wind data throughout wind farms, the wind energy industry — an essential contributor to the renewable energy revolution, won’t reach its full potential.

By innovating both within the hardware and software realms we aim to increasingly empower developers and operators with economical resources to measure wind at scale and to identify sources of underperformance caused by wind monitoring inaccuracies.

Windborne™, our first drone-deployed patented wind sensor, or as we like to call it “a flying met mast,” is one of many innovations we plan to continue developing to address this challenge head on.
